Still Living!!!

Yes, I'm here to say that I'm still among the living, although last weekend almost did me in. I went to Arkansas to my Mom's for Thanksgiving on Wens, came back Thurs night, and then went to work at the stadium at 2 PM. Normally this is a 5 hour job to prepare the stadium for a game, however, this time we were there till almost 10. Of course there was a bball game that night too, so we had to be back at 10:30 to clean up after that game.. Left about 2 in the morning... Then Saturday, after the big game, we started cleaning the stadium, and at 8 AM the next morning I gave up hobbled to the car and went home....

Then Sunday night at 7:30 we had to clean up after a women's bball game. Whoo hooo!!! What a weekend! To top this all off I blew out my shoes before it even started, so my feet were in pain the whole time too..

Ah, that was the final football game, no more football games ever! LOL! Anywhoo, if anyone else ever decides to do this job, just keep in mind to set some ground rules.. hehehe.

Today I bought new shoes and it wasn't nearly so bad, but we went in at 10:30 and got off at 3:45 or so.. DANG! Work is gonna come so early in the morning!!!

Stadium Seating

Well I've gone and done it. I have started helping the sports arena here in town after games. Both the football stadium and the Basketball arena. In the last few years these monolithic structures have been updated, and enlarged. I have a new respect for the magnitude of the job it is to clean these up after said sporting events.

The first time I was there and cleaned up after a football game, I was there for 12 hours straight. I was exhausted, in pain and numb all at the same time. The second football game had me there for 15 hours.

Cars

It's foolish, I put the movie "cars" into my movie list at Netflix... Knowing full well that I will be buying it as soon as possible tomorrow... Yea, weird I know...
